Wren Music – Healthy New Towns Conference – The Golden Grapples ‘Rock Rockbeare!’

On the 20th March Wren Music and the Golden Grapples performed at the Healthy New Towns Conference at Rockbeare Manor. They shared a few of their specially written songs, which talk about their own perspective on their New Town. They performed to a completely full house and brought the house down. The Golden Grapples are made up from students from St Martin’s Primary School and Cranbrook Education Campus.

Cranbrook Music Sessions is 2-year project funded by Youth Music and run by Wren Music to give the Young People of Cranbrook space to make their own music, write songs about their community, create acoustic busking bands and street drumming groups. In after school clubs, youth clubs and open weekend sessions, around 50 young people showed up to participate, taking a musical lead and developing skills, commitment, concentration and enthusiasm. Around 90 people attended the main finale in December 2018.
