Wildlife Roadshow visits Year 7

Year 7’s were visited by live crabs and woodlice, a bank vole and a wood mouse today as part of a collaboration between the University of Exeter and local nature conservation training organisation Ambios Ltd.

Year 7  pupils heard about flight in insects and birds, small mammal surveys for mice and voles, how crabs and woodlice are related and how to use remote cameras to monitor wildlife such as deer and foxes.  Each session was delivered as a teaching and learning practice.

There will be more in the next edition of the Cranbrook Herald so make sure you pick up a copy.
