Cranbrook’s U15 team played a 9 a side inter-trust tournament against St Luke’s, St James and West Exe. Our team included 4 Year 10 and 5 Year 9 pupils in the squad. All girls played very well considering they haven’t had a fixture since last November. Whilst all the fixtures we played resulted in narrow defeats Cranbrook dominated 2 of the 3 games, playing two touch football and creating multiple chances. Whilst our attacking display from Kelsey, Jasmine and Jess was positive it must also be stated the defensively Chloe and Charlene put in some vital and crunching tackles. Coral’s distribution has vastly improved and she made some very important saves. Millie and Finola played as our full backs and again had positive performances in terms of breaking up play and maintaining possession. Kayleigh was consistent at Centre Back and then Centre Midfield at driving the team forward. We will look forward to the next fixture for this squad in the spring term.
