Thought of the Week - Diligent

Theme: Diligent

Quote:

“I never could have done what I have done without the habits of punctuality, order, and diligence, without the determination to concentrate myself on one subject at a time.”

  • Charles Dickens

Explanation:

Diligence is defined as ‘careful and persistent work or effort’. If you are being diligent in school, you are making sure you do things well.  Diligence in leadership is really important as you need to make sure you have done things well and aren’t just rushing to complete goals.

  • What do you think causes you the most distraction?
  • Do you think you complete homework better with or without music/tv/computer on?
  • Introverts and extroverts generally work slightly differently. Find an online quiz to see whether you are an introvert or an extrovert and see if you can research the impact this has on how to work to the best of your ability.
