Thought for the Week - Courage

Theme: Courage

“You will never do anything in this world without courage.  It is the greatest quality of the mind next to honour.”

  • James Allen

One of the ways that courage is defined is ‘strength in the face of pain or grief’. To be courageous is often seen as the person who is the loudest and the boldest, but this isn’t always the case. People with courage can find strength and resilience even when their circumstances are difficult. We all go through difficult times and it’s important to find courage and in this also know that it is okay not to be okay.

  • What do you think courage and resilience looks like in a person?
  • Are there times when you felt you were courageous?
  • With friends think about how you could support each other in difficult times, what does it look like to be a friend when life is tough?
