“Sport has given me confidence in all walks of life” Pete Eveleigh

I find that being physically active allows my mind to be distracted from daily stressors. Competing in team sports regularly helps me to unwind and engage in a satisfying challenge that improves my fitness. Sport gives me confidence in my own ability in a variety of scenarios in all walks of life.

I have noticed lots of benefits from sport, which you might find too. Your physical strength, skills, and stamina will increase through playing sports and your self-image will improve as well. Team sports also provide social benefits by allowing you to connect with teammates and friends in a recreational setting without the stresses we sometimes find in school or work environments.

I’ve seen a vast improvement in many attendees at our Kicks sessions, with some young people having opportunities to represent the football club against other clubs. Our Kicks sessions for anyone aged between 8-19 years run on Saturday evenings at Cranbrook’s Education Campus 6-8pm. We are also looking for volunteers up to the age of 25 who may want to benefit from the experience and potentially gain qualifications through the football club.
