Saving money by making our own envelopes

The pupils in Years 3 and 4 have been really busy making their own Christmas cards. So I decided to use one of our maths lessons to teach the children how they could make their own envelopes. This required them to make a perfect square from an A4 piece of paper and then use some folding and sticking to create their finished products.

They really enjoyed the challenge and after a few failed attempts were making some excellent designs which they decorated.

We will continue to learn about being careful with our money on Monday, when some volunteers from Natwest visit us.
