Poking cells with light workshop

Dr Mills, Dr Whitehead of @ExeSciCentre and PhD Student Michelle Bailey stopped by to show some of our Year 10 and 11 pupils how researchers at the University of Exeter are using physics to develop non-invasive cancer detection techniques. Our pupils got a chance to try a range of hands-on activities demonstrating wave properties and the EM spectrum during this session that highlighted medical physics and the importance of multi-disciplinary working to solve key issues.
