In 2016-2017 we received £5,500 in PE and sport premium. We spent this money on:
- 4 hours per week of a sports development officer to work with Reception (1 hour per class, per week), year 1 (1 hour per week) and year 2/3 (1 hour per week).
- Skills developed in reception included assisted free play using specialise PE equipment
- Year 1 focused on the rules of key sports and responding to the whistle.
- Year 2/3 developed their understanding of attack, defence and tactics for the main sports resulting in a condition game.
Cost break down:
- Reception – 2 Hours per week (1 hour per class) – £25p/h (£50) x 33 weeks – 1 member of ECFC staff
- Year 1 – 1 hour per week – £50 p/h (£25 per staff) x 33 weeks – 2 members of ECFC Staff (1 Sports development officer, 1 sports coach)
- Year 2/3 – 1 hour per week – £50 p/h(£25 per staff) x 33 weeks – 2 members of ECFC Staff (1 Sports development officer, 1 sports coach)
- Additional equipment £550
