Nursery Weekly News - 05/10/2018

Dear parents/carers,

It has been lovely to welcome back Mrs Hall this week and the children were delighted to see her! Mrs Clements is recovering well from her operation, but still has a little way to go and the Doctors have sensibly suggested she takes another week to recover before exposing herself to lots of lively three and four year olds! In her absence next week, Jill Moseley, our lovely cover teacher, will continue working with Red Base and the rest of the team. I would like to say a massive thank you again to the Nursery team for the massive effort they make on a daily basis.

Next week

Next week in Nursery we will be starting our new book – Happy Birthday Maisie – as an introduction to our learning about special times and celebrations. We will also be continuing to explore the changing colours of the world around us in Autumn, so please do keep on collecting and bringing in signs of Autumn – we had some lovely things to explore this week so thank you for that.

Christmas cards

Thank you to those of you who have returned the Christmas card designs your child created last week. The absolute deadline for the return of these is MONDAY 8th OCTOBER.

Spare clothes

If your child has come home wearing Nursery clothes, please can you return them – we get through an awful lot each week as you can imagine, so our stocks get depleted pretty quickly. Thank you.

Nursery Spaces

We are now completely full in both Red and Yellow Base for the summer term, so unfortunately it will be very difficult to allocate extra sessions or to change days. We still have some available spaces for the summer in our two year old room and our wrap around care. If you are looking for extra sessions, please contact our Nursery administrator Georgina Allen via email georgina.allen@cranbrookeducationcampus.org.uk

Thank you for your continued support. Please remember that we are always available at the beginning and end of the day if you have any questions or concerns, or you can make an appointment to see me.

Have a lovely weekend,

Julie Simpson EYFS LEAD
