Nursery Weekly Letter - 14/09/18

Friday 14th September 2018

Dear Parents/Carers,

Well, we have survived our first full week! The children in Nursery have been absolutely delightful and have started to settle in incredibly well. The Nursery rooms look lovely and fresh with our new layout and resources and the children have enjoyed exploring the exciting activities planned by their teachers.

Your child’s safety is of paramount importance to us, so we need to ensure we have up to date passwords for everybody. We still have a few passwords not completed so teachers will be chasing these over the next few days. Please do not be offended if you are asked the password for your child, especially if it is not the usual teacher who releases your child at the end of the day.

Changes to details

You should all have received an email today explaining the new process of changing/adding sessions for your child, which will now be done on a termly basis. This information can also be found on the Nursery section of our school website.

A few little helpful bits…….

  • Your child does not need to bring a drink to Nursery other than the one they bring with their packed lunch. A supply of fresh drinking water is available all day. Milk and water are both available at snack and lunchtime.
  • As the weather starts to be a little less predictable can you please make sure you send your child with a waterproof coat each day as we will be learning outside whatever the weather!
  • Thank you to those who have brought wellies to school, we will be using these daily in our garden for digging and our mud kitchen, so please make sure they are in every day. They can be kept in school on our new welly racks.
  • A HUGE thank you for labelling your child’s clothes – this saves us so much time!
  • Don’t forget to check our parent information board outside for latest information and to find out what we have been learning this week.
  • Please remember that our afternoon session finishes at 3pm. It is really important you let us know if you are delayed and will be late collecting your child. If we do not know the reason and a child is collected later than ten minutes after the end of the session, a late collection fee will be incurred.

And finally

Our Nursery team are all thoroughly enjoying getting to know you and your children, and working together with you. Please remember to come and talk to any member of our team if you have any worries or concerns. Thank you.

The Nursery team.
