Mental Health Advice

Dear Parents/Carers

During these uncertain, uneasy times we as a school are not underestimating the effect on everyone’s mental health. All of us may be experiencing higher levels of anxiety and worry and those who struggle with their emotions or mental health may really be struggling. I have included the contact details of some charities who work tirelessly to improve Mental Health, many of whom are offering lots of advice and practical tips:-
Kooth.com – A free, safe and anonymous online support for young people.
Youngminds.org.uk – offering special Coronavirus advice and a special Parents Helpline as well as more general help.
Shout – a 24/7 texting service free on all major networks for anyone in a crisis, anytime, anyplace – TEXT to 85258.
Childline – Available for anyone up to the age of 19 – Call 0800 1111 or access a counsellor online.

Please also note I am available to contact by email at
anna.wade@cranbrookeducationcampus.org.uk
if you think your child or young person would benefit from some reassurance or practical tips on how to manage their thoughts and feelings in this unprecedented time.
Please all take care and stay safe.
