Exmoor Challenge training walk

On the 22nd March, 7 Year-8 students participated in their first Exmoor Challenge training walk. The 8-mile route followed the river Otter and the South West coast path, challenging the groups developing navigational skills. The walk was the first in a series of training events aimed at preparing the group for the rigours of Exmoor Challenge, a 16 mile unsupported day walk for charity organised by the Exmoor Rotary Club. All participants acquitted themselves well, maintaining a good pace (possibly motivated by the thought of the ice cream that awaited them at Ladram Bay).

Congratulation to all participants this far.
