We are writing to introduce CoachBright, who will be running an exciting new programme at Cranbrook next academic year, specifically for girls in Year 9.
CoachBright works with pupils 1-1 and in a group context to help them become independent and resilient learners so they lead the lives they want. They match each pupil with a university student to improve their grades, confidence and work ethic.
From September 2017, CoachBright is going to be running a programme at Cranbrook to help Year 9 girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects. The programme aims to boost girls knowledge of, and confidence in, STEM subjects.
Each pupil will be paired up with a female STEM student from the University of Exeter. The pairs will do one hour of coaching together per week. The programme is a term long and also includes a launch trip, mid-programme workshop and Graduation event at Exeter University.
The programme will begin with an introductory workshop for all Year 9 girls during periods 1 and 2 on Tuesday 12th September. Pupils will then have the opportunity to apply onto the programme if they would like to take part. There are 10 places available.
We look forward to seeing your daughter at the workshop on Tuesday 12th September
