Over the past few weeks secondary students have been getting involved with ‘Sustrans’ who are a leading UK charity encouraging and enabling people to travel by foot, bike or public transport.
Sustrans work with families, communities, policy-makers and partner organisations so that people are able to choose healthier, cleaner and cheaper journeys, with better places and spaces to move through and live in.
On the 14th of December, Charlotte from Sustrans provided a special breakfast for every student who cycled to school that morning.
She also offered students the chance to complete their level 2 bike ability qualification. Around 18 students signed up for this and spent an hour during school cycling with Charlotte around Cranbrook to gain their qualification.
